What others call Muffin my wife and I call them “Hope they don’t get burned”!
Quite universal name that over time we have adapted to everything we bake, that is, that we decide to donate to this oven, inherited from an aunt and not working perfectly… in short, only valid to get everything that looks like a roasted chestnut (brown and burnt!).
An oven that will certainly be replaced in the best of times, but which is now part of our daily lives and our creative moments in the kitchen.
Well yes… I try to experiment by following the directions of the recipes to the letter and often the final result is something different from what I hoped, while my wife tends to take note on a notebook of all the procedures to follow, but then adapts everything to how feels at that moment, risking a lot, but personalizing each dish!
Her motto, in joys and failures, has always been: “it was done with love, this is the important thing!”

Today is a gloomy day, fog and raindrops on the fruit trees that are starting to bloom and give color and a little contrast to this slightly faded and melancholic winter palette.
Today is the classic day to stay at home and dedicate yourself to what we like to do without time. And this is the right time to do it!
While I dedicate myself to the ladder for works that have been in the pipeline for a few days and to which I will soon give life, I feel a good smell of strawberry muffins coming from the kitchen!
I still don’t feel that burnt smell… maybe this time we can really call the muffins with their name!

Outside the air is fresh, the earth gives off its scent, the houses are lived more and give the neighboring houses warmth and rare smells, of a slower rhythm, a closeness that is rediscovered, a watch that is forgotten on the furniture entry and a different look at what can make us feel really good.
And it’s a little bit what I look for when I photograph your smiles or a detail that belongs to you and that acquires value, because it is with you at that moment.
And I know for sure that these muffins and this slow time will be excellent seeds for a fruitful harvest of your well-being as soon as we meet and you will be able to give life to everything you have learned and experienced in these days at home!
